Tomás Vergara is a creator with a rich and diverse professional background, combining audiovisual storytelling, environmental awareness, and cultural commitment.

From 2005 to 2007, he served as Executive Director of Libélula Producciones S.A., a sound production company for film and television. In 2015, he created Bichología with his son Dante—a nature-focused web series with over 40 episodes. Between 2021 and 2024, he served as General Manager of Mahuida Park for the Municipality of La Reina, where he led the political and territorial coordination to establish the first Municipal Nature Reserve in the Metropolitan Region of Chile. Together with his son Dante, he recently wrote the book  "Bichología: Bitácora de una excursión al cerro", published by Zig-Zag.

Today, his passion is focused on creating and developing engaging and innovative audiovisual projects that incorporate an environmental dimension.

Tomás Vergara has a multidisciplinary academic background:

He holds a Diploma in Audiovisual Executive Production from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, a Postgraduate Diploma in Landscape and Green Infrastructure with a focus on Biodiversity from the University of Chile, and a Diploma in Stock Market Investment and Equity Trading from Adolfo Ibáñez University. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Film with a specialization in Documentary from the Film School of Chile and also graduated as an actor from the International School of Gesture and Image: La Mancha.

This solid and diverse academic foundation has shaped his perspective as both a creator and project manager, integrating audiovisual storytelling with a deep environmental and cultural awareness.

Dante Vergara is a young environmental communicator who, at just 17 years old, already has solid on-screen experience and a remarkable ability to communicate and share his learnings. He is a collaborator with Unicef Chile and currently serves as a member of the Youth Advisory Group of the United Nations in Chile.

Since the age of 4, Dante has explored parks and mountains alongside his father — experiences that inspired him to become an enthusiastic advocate for nature through his channel Bichología. In 2019, he became the first child in the world to deliver a speech before the United Nations General Assembly, where he called on member states to recognize the right to live in a healthy environment (Watch Dante’s speech).

His message is rooted in the belief that "to protect nature, we must first understand it," and he shares his adventures on the website www.bichologia.com
